Turning a new page..

After not having used my tumblr in so long, i thought why not use this occasion to make use of my blog to keep any notes.

Today, the 23rd of January 2012, I have made the conscious decision to end my routine use of cannabis. I wrote myself a contract that I would do so, with today being the day of commencement.

For at least the past 2-3 years (if not more) I have used cannabis on a daily basis to socialize, unwind, relax, or simply when bored. It became a huge & important part of my life, allowing me to free my mind of constant racing thoughts & simply relax, observe, take in my surroundings & enjoy the moment.

Although after such prolonged regular use through bongs with tobacco, i feel it has taken a toll on my motivation, my sleeping patters, my wallet & in my opinion probably various other health & lifestyle factors.

To avoid having too much of a good thing, I am here, having made this decision for change. Also anticipating this to lead to change in other aspects of my life, i.e. health/fitness, more free time to do other interesting activities etc.

Also this was prompted by the fact that I am going back to university to study my degree in March (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology), and therefore want to make the most of the course & achieve excellence in my results.

I will post any logs/reports/updates over the next few weeks (hopefully I remember)
